Passionate & Unpretentious

Bicycle Station is a service-oriented shop that welcomes bikers of all skill and experience levels.

Bicycle Station owner and founder Mike Rodriguez has over forty years of experience with bicycles. Born and raised in Brooklyn, Mike's passion for bikes began at early age. He started working in a bike shop when he was ten, washing bikes for his childhood mentor Lenny Stevens, and never looked back.

A veteran racer and mechanic, Mike honed his skills in numerous shops throughout New York City before establishing his first shop in 1992, Open Road Cycles, on Flatbush Avenue in Park Slope.

Mike’s shop on 171 Park Avenue makes for a convenient pit stop for bikers on their way to or from Manhattan or Prospect Park, and follows with Mike's unpretentious attitude.

"5 stars. Like supporting a local business. I got a tune up and the price was 50 dollars which is extremely reasonable. The owner did a great job, it was ready in a few days and after riding it for a few days I can say wholeheartedly it's like a brand new bike. Would definitely come here again if I need any bike fixes"

"Worth the trek! With so many bike shops in Brooklyn, I will STILL come back to Mike's time and time again. Friendly and personal service. Not to mention the best deal for a tune-up there is. While leaving, Mike noticed I was struggling with carrying my things, ran out, and threw a bottle cage on my bike free of charge. Truly a class act. Worth every penny."
